respect, value and protection;

animals of our community.

RECENT NEWS |
Dog Park
We're building a dog park! The Village of
Ruidoso is donating 2 1/2 acres for a dog
park in
the White Mountain Sports Complex across
from the soccer fields. The Humane Society
is raising $25,000 to construct the dog
park, then donating it to the Village to be
managed by the Ruidoso Parks and Recreation
Department. We are over halfway towards our
fundraising goal and expect to be
completed in September. Dogs will be
able to run and socialize in a safe and
secure fenced environment.
ReModel Shop
We have opened a new retail shop where
quality, used and surplus building materials
are sold at a fraction of normal prices.
Materials sold are donated from building
supply stores, contactors, demolition crews
or individuals who are remodeling and wish
to show their support for the Humane
Society. We also help the environment by
re-channeling good, usable materials into

Spay/neuter clinic
Thanks to our
generous donors, our Earline Phillips
Spay/Neuter Clinic is operational at our
location on Gavilan Canyon Road. Four local
veterinarians support us by providing surgeries
on our adoptable cats and dogs one day a week,
on a rotational basis. This greatly reduces the
stress on the animal and saves the Humane
Society nearly $20 per animal. |
