ADOPTIONS
The Humane
Society is always seeking permanent,
loving homes for the cats and dogs in
the shelter. If you are interested in
adopting, we would love to help you find
just the right pet for your home.
To get
started:
Shelter hours: Open Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri
11 am - 5 pm; Sat. 11 am - 2 pm; Closed
Wed & Sun

Discuss your perfect pet with our
staff. We can help you “Meet your
Match”

Spend
time with the dog or cat, play with
them, let them meet members of your
family, including other pets and
children

Fill
out an application form – we love
the animals in our care, so
naturally we screen applicants to
make sure each pet goes to a
permanent and loving home

After
your adoption is approved, we ask
you to sign an adoption contract to
make a commitment to care for your
new friend for the rest of his/her
life

Pay the low adoption fee of $75 which
includes your pet having rabies
shots, vaccinations (if over 3
months old), spayed or neutered, and
microchipped. We accept check, cash,
MasterCard, and Visa.

Congratulations! It’s time to take
your new pet home. We recommend you
take your new pet for a thorough
veterinary examination within 21
days. We’ll be happy to help you
find a local vet in your area. We
also have suggestions on how to
transition your pet from the shelter
to your home.
