Humane Society of Lincoln County
SHARE THE CARE

There are lots of ways that you can “Share the Care” of our
abandoned dogs and cats. We need on-going financial help. We
need volunteers. We need loving, permanent homes.

We hope that you will join us in providing care to our community
orphans. We receive funding from many sources, including the
Villages of Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, Capitan and Lincoln County,
which contribute 25% of the funding required to support our
shelter. In 2008, each animal averaged $232 for up-to-date
vaccinations, rabies, spay/neuter, training, room and board.

We are dedicated to the animals in our care. And, while we don’t
receive contracted financial support outside of the municipalities
mentioned above, we continually receive animals from all over
Lincoln and Otero Counties, which we don’t turn away.

How can you “Share the Care”?

An hour per week walking a dog or playing with our cats

A dollar per day for a year will spay or neuter 7 animals

Help out a morning a week in our Resale Shop

A monthly donation of $10 will help provide rabies shots to 24
animals

Kitty litter and old towels are always needed

Foster a litter of kittens or puppies until they’re strong enough to
survive shelter life or are old enough to be adopted

Designate $$$ to a medical emergency fund to treat badly injured
animals, or provide immediate surgical care
