Success Stories
Maybe we are biased, but it seems like adopted dogs and cats
make the best pets. If you have a pet adopted from the Humane
Society of Lincoln County, send us a picture and a few sentences
so that we can add your success story to our page. Email it to

CALI
I get my exercise running
around the backyard. I am a
champion tug-of-war player,
but watch out I'll tease you
with the rope first.
REGGIE
I love to go on walks and
ride in the car. I like to get
dressed up and pick out my
own outfits. I am the king of
the house and my mommy
treats me like royalty.
MONTY
We adopted Monty about a
week ago from the Humane
Society Shelter he shows
great character and trust
already.

He jumps in the bath tub
with my son and loves to
stay in there and play. We
are looking forward to lots
of laughs with him. What a
great cat.
BUSTER
Hi, I'm Buster and I was at
the shelter in May of 2009.  I
have lots of room to run and
play with the other dog, Lady,
and I like to ride in the Jeep.
I keep a watchful eye on
things here and am pretty
busy all day.
Sammy
I was adopted in March of
2007.  I love to play fetch,
when I am in the mood, and
anything related to water.
Swimming is one of my
favorites, although I don't
really swim all that well.  I
have learned to sit, shake, heal,
lay down, stay, play dead and
even catch treats off my nose!
Sarge
I was adopted from HSLC
in August of 2007.  Over the
last few years I have figured
out when it is time to go for
a run just by what clothes
my "mom" is wearing!
Going for runs is my second
favorite thing to do; number
one is going for truck rides.
Skeeter
I have only been apart of my
family since December of
2009.  I think I am the most
handsome animal in my
family and I love bossing
around the big German
Shepherd.  I spend most of
my time sleeping on my
back, just waiting for
someone to stop and scratch
my tummy.
Scooter
I was found all by myself
when I was only 10 days old.
I was raised by my current
family and officially adopted in
May 2009.  Sometimes my
"mom" thinks I might be part
dog, because I come when I
am called, I sleep with the two
dogs in the family, and I even
know what "treat" means.
