VOLUNTEERS
If you love animals and have a few hours (or one) a week, we can use your help:


DOG KENNELS
There’s a lot to do. Hosing runs, inside and out; cleaning food dishes, and unfortunately, poop patrols.

THE CATS
Would you wash and refill water bowls, refill litter boxes, sweep and mop floors, or change bedding?

QUALITY TIME
We believe it’s very important to exercise and socialize the animals in our care. This involves walking the dogs, playing, bathing, grooming and heaping attention on them. (They love you back…)

ANIMAL TRANSPORT
We respond to many emergencies and can use volunteers to help pick up animals and transport them to the nearest veterinary hospital.

ADOPTIONS
We love this part – finding lifelong friends for our orphans. We can train you to help with this rewarding responsibility.

RESALE SHOP
Proceeds from our Resale Shop at the "Y" directly benefit the shelter operations. We need help picking items up, sorting, pricing, creating displays, and ringing up sales.

FUNDRAISING
We desperately need funds for our on-going operating expenses. Help us solicit memberships, present to local organizations, work with primary and middle schools, and work on our major fundraiser, the Furr Ball in July.

REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
Our shelter is aging and is in constant need of repair. If you’re handy with light repairs and mending fences, we need you.
